GLEN ROSE - On Tuesday, the Somervell County Sheriff’s Department received the final AED units needed to outfit the remaining 15 law enforcement vehicles that lacked the lifesaving devices. As previously reported, the units were purchased after an anonymous family donated $31,188.31 to the county.

“This is a great benefit for the community and we greatly appreciate the donations and generosity of the community,” Somervell County Sheriff Greg Doyle said.

Now that all patrol cars are equipped with the unit, every law enforcement official will be trained by the Somervell County Fire Department on proper AED use.
