GLEN ROSE – The Glen Rose Convention and Visitors Bureau met with community members April 6 at the Holiday Inn Express for its monthly meeting to discuss upcoming events, readdress the new Explore Glen Rose app and listen to a handful of presentations.

Following introductions, CVB Director, Kelly discussed the free Explore Glen Rose app that is now available in the iTunes and Google Play stores. The application showcases the City’s history and lists main attractions under categories such as dining, events, lodging, shopping deals and more.

Nobles explained the app as being very colorful, extremely user friendly and she encourages residents, not just visitors, to download and share it with friends, families and even strangers.

“I am all about wanting the world to know about our wonderful community,” Nobles said. “For those that are already here, it’s a way get to know [Glen Rose] even more.”

The CVB also announced that it would offer free classes on customer service and tourism to local businesses and anyone in general who may want to be able to provide visitors more information about Glen Rose.

Nobles also announced that the Explore Glen Rose Magazine is in the final stages of publication and will be available soon. The announcement of its availability will be made on the Explore Glen Rose app as well as the CVB’s website www.GlenRoseTexas.net and Facebook.com/GlenRoseCVB

Presentations were also made by Axcess Photography, Juana Barnard with Texas Heroes Remembered, Jeff Fox and My Father’s House. Comments and questions were heard prior to adjournment.
