Our annual Trust Fund Christmas party will be on Friday, Dec. 16. This is a free event for all seniors (60+) who live in Somervell County. Dinner, live music/dancing and door prizes. Please call or come by to make a reservation.
Our Christmas Lunch will be on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at noon. Please call or come by to make a reservation.
Our last dance will be Dec. 9. Both dance dates in November fall on holidays as well as the second December date. We have not scheduled any dances for 2017.
Michael Cote will be playing our final dance on December 9th at 7:00. $5 at the door.
Winners of last week’s Bunco tournament were: Betty Flanagan with the most Buncos, Janet Stacy with the most wins and Caroline Abrego with the most losses. Others playing were: Pat Thompson, Louise McCoy, Dorothy Jo Osborn and Carole Kofke.
Activities at the Citizen’s Center beginning December 5th : Bluegrass/ potluck, Chess and Bingo on Monday, hearing screening by Treadway Hearing and wood carving on Tuesday; Forty-Two tournament, blood sugar testing by Cherokee Rose and Dollar General shopping trip on Wednesday; Chess and local grocery shopping on Thursday and Bingo and local grocery shopping on Friday.
Besides the scheduled activities, there are games, puzzles, Forty Two and visiting going on every day. Don’t see it on the calendar? Make a suggestion; we’re always looking for new ideas.
If you know anyone who may need meals, transportation, an emergency response system, medical equipment, Food Stamps (SNAP) or Food Bank applications, utility assistance applications or any other senior oriented services, please call or come by the Center.
Remember that you don’t have to be a senior to come and enjoy all of our activities or eat lunch with us.
