It only makes sense to get the bad news out of the way first.

Let’s Eat, Bluff Dale’s famed little restaurant that dishes up cuisine for real foodies, is closing its doors.

In fact, Saturday is the last night the quaint, open air restaurant will be open.

The good news?

Let’s Eat will soon reopen in Granbury and chef and owner Curren Dodds is excited.

“I’m ready for a change and I am ready for a new adventure,” Dodds said.

Let’s Eat at the Grove is expected to open within the next month at Hidden Oaks Golf Course (behind the new HEB).

“We are going to have double the seating capacity (80), a patio and full bar,” Dodds said. “We will also have room for banquets for up to 200 people and a separate wedding venue.”

Fans of Let’s Eat can relax because Dodds plans to offer the same delicious food - items like lamb, duck, shrimp mac and cheese and juicy steaks - for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

“We are also going to have a Sunday brunch, complete with mimosas and bloody Mary’s,” he said. “It’s the same place, just bigger. We will still have an open kitchen so people can watch their food being cooked.”

The dining room will feature eight large windows that overlook the golf course, a perk Dodds said he loves about the new location.

“It’s going to be great,” he said. “I want to thank everyone for all their support. It’s been a great 13 years.”
