A special recognition ceremony for U.S. military veterans who served during the Vietnam Era will be held Friday, Nov. 10, in the Glen Rose High School Auditorium at 10 a.m.

The Vietnam-Era veterans who attend — or a surviving family member of a deceased Vietnam-Era veteran — will be awarded the Commemoration Certificate and Medallion commemorating the 50th anniversary of that war.

In order to be included, email the following information to Don Nicholas (don.nicholas@mail.house.gov):

1. Your full name.

2. Your branch of service.

3. Your rank when you were discharged (optional).

The deadline for emailing the information is midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Those who served in any branch of the U.S. military, including the Coast Guard, between November 1955 and May 1975 are invited to participate — whether you served in Vietnam or not.

Those who served in that era but are unable to attend as asked to provide a mailing address that the certificate and medallion can be sent to you.
