Beta Mu Delta met recently at the home of Julie Locke.  Hostesses were Melodie Isham and Julie Locke. The Día de los Muertos themed meeting was a delight as members enjoyed cultural food and festivities. The multi-day holiday celebrates and focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.

President Melodie Isham presided over a busy business meeting which included updates from the Social Committee, made up of Julie Locke, Ann Claybaugh and Lisa Bonnett discussing the annual Christmas Social plans.  The Social will be held   at the Midland Hotel in Hico.

The Service Committee updated the sorority on fundraising plans for the Glen Rose Pa Pa’s Pantry Food Bank. Additionally, Isham stated that Second Chance Farms needed pillows, blankets and towels and that she will collect them from members and take to the farm.

Vice President Karen Wells updated the sorority that newly updated member degree information was received from International and member progression ceremonies would take place accordingly. Wells, also handed out pins from Beta Sigma Phi International.  

After the business meeting a cultural program was presented by Julie Locke followed by desserts of Tres Leches.
