1. Atlatl Demo

Join park rangers and learn about prehistoric hunting at Dinosaur Valley State Park’s Atlatl Demo taking place from 2-3 p.m. Sunday. Participants will get the opportunity to try out this ancient hunting tool, the atlatl and dart, that was used before the bow and arrow. 2. New Year’s Eve Hike

Round up the family and head to Dinosaur Valley State Park to bring in the new year outdoors. A New Year’s Eve hike will take place from 11 p.m.-midnight Sunday and those attending will travel to the park’s overlook. 3. Dino Dive and New Year’s Celebration

Enjoy a day packed full of New Year activities at Dinosaur Valley State Park Monday, including bike riding, a hike, costume contest and a dive into the Blue Hole. Events will be going on from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the park store or online at All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Dinosaur Valley State Park.
