Everyone had a great time at the Valentine’s Day party at the Center.
Refreshments provided by Chef Judy were delicious, and the entertainment was well-received.
Grant Groblebe played his guitar and sang favorite Western songs, both current and past. The King, Dwain Sandlin, and the Queen, Barbara Ingram, presided over the festivities.
Our Most Red Dressed winner was Loveda Swaim. We had several participants, and all were beautiful in red. If you missed it, you can come to our next celebration — St. Patrick’s Day—on Friday, March 16. We’d love for you to come, and dress in green. You may win the Most Green contest.
Don’t miss our February birthdays party on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Margie will provide the entertainment, and Chef Judy and her staff will provide our birthday lunch of pot roast and birthday cake. Please remember to call the Center if you want to join us any day Monday through Friday for lunch. Judy needs an approximate head count by 10 every morning.
If you need assistance with your utility bills, come by the Center on Wednesday, March 7 from 9 a.m.-noon. Lou Ann Stout from Texas Neighborhood Services will work with you to see if you qualify for assistance. You can call Neighborhood Services at 817-598- 5700 to set up an appointment.
Our Center is at 209 SW Barnard, and the phone number is 254-897-2139. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon.
Meals eaten at the Center for those 60 and over: donations are appreciated; those under 60 years of age: $5.50; take-out meals are $5.50 with drink and dessert included.

Friday, Feb. 23 — Spaghetti with meat sauce; zucchini and tomatoes; garden salad; garlic toast; peaches.
Monday, Feb. 26 — Butter beans with ham; fried okra; stewed tomatoes; cornbread; fruit salad.
Tuesday, Feb.27 — Chicken stew; garden salad; cornbread; oranges; bananas.
Wednesday, Feb. 28 — Pot roast; new potatoes; carrots; roll; birthday cake.
Thursday, March 1 — Baked chicken; roasted new potatoes; green beans; roll; oatmeal cake.
Friday, Feb. 2 — Salisbury steak; mashed potatoes; garden salad; roll; coconut cake.
