1. Glen Rose sporting events
If the rain holds off, the weekend will be packed full of sporting events in Glen Rose. The GRHS varsity softball and junior varsity baseball tournaments will take place all day Friday and Saturday at the local fields. There will also be the Glen Rose Youth Baseball Association All-Star tournament kicking off Saturday. For more information visit www.grisd.net.
2. Gosdin Scenic Drive dedication
Join Fossil Rim Wildlife Center when it holds the Gosdin Scenic Drive dedication Friday outside the admission office. This new 7.2-mile road will be dedicated in honor of Gosdin’s Dozer Service, Inc. and those who visit between 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. will receive a free bag of feed with admission. 3. Music, Massage and Merlot
Enjoy a relaxing night at D’Vine Wine’s Music, Massage and Merlot event taking place from 7-11 p.m. Friday at the winery in Granbury. 4. “Luck ‘O The Artists” Gallery Night
Celebrate the arts with good conversation and Irish-themed food at the “Luck ‘O The Artists” Last Saturday Gallery Night taking place from 5-8 p.m. Saturday around the Historic Granbury Square. The event is free to attend and for more information visit www.visitgranbury.com.
5. Central Texas Wedding Expo
If you’re recently engaged and need some help kickstarting those wedding plans, then head to the Tarleton State University Barry B. Thompson Student Center ballrooms for the 8th annual Central Texas Wedding Expo on Sunday. The event is $5 per person, $3 for ages 12 and under, and will feature information on wedding and reception venues, suppliers, vendors and consultants.
