The weekend is almost here with some fun happenings in Glen Rose and the surrounding area. 

1. Nature’s Pantry plant walk

Discover what type of plants are edible and used for medicinal purposes at Dinosaur Valley State Park’s Nature’s Pantry: Edible and Medicinal Plants Walk taking place from 10-11 a.m. Friday, starting at the park store. 2. Fossil Diggin’ at Dinosaur Valley

If you’re looking for another fun activity for your little ones, head to Dinosaur Valley State Park for its Fossil Diggin’ event taking place from 2-3 p.m. Saturday. Those attending will meet at the park store and the kiddos will use small brushes to carefully uncover millions of years of old marine fossils buried in the sand and learn about the animals that lived in the ocean alongside the beach. 3. Catch a flick

Round up the family and head over to the movie theater to catch a flick! The highly anticipated Disney movie, A Wrinkle in Time hits theaters Friday. Other movies include Peter Rabbit, Red Sparrow, Black Panther, Death Wish and Gringo.
