Glen Rose residents celebrated St. Patrick’s Day on Friday here at the Citizens’ center. Everyone enjoyed Grant Groblebe’s entertainment. The winner of the “Most Green” contest was Stephanie Adin, and we thank all the men and ladies who turned out in green for the party.

We held our first dance of the season on Saturday night, and many gathered to dance to the music of Michael Cote and his band. The music was sensational! Come join us at our next dance on Saturday, April 21 where you can dance to Pete & Patty’s entertainment. The cover charge is $5 per person.

Please bring your favorite dish to share with others that night.

HELPING HOMEBOUND

We need people to assist with homebound senior citizens! If you are interested in earning some money and would like to fill this need, please contact our Center for more information.

Do you like to play bingo or bunco? Come join our groups at the Center for some fun. Bingo starts at 10:30 am on Mondays and Fridays. Bunco is the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Our next bunco group meets on Wednesday, March 28.

We also have tables of chess players on Mondays and Thursdays, and our 42 players meet every day. Come join them!

March birthdays will be celebrated at 11:30 on Wednesday, March 28. Our Easter party will be from 11:30 to 12:30 on Thursday, March 29. The Center will be closed Friday, March 30, in observance of Good Friday.

Our Center is located at 209 SW Barnard, 254-897-2139. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon. Meals eaten at the Center for those 60 and over: donations are appreciated; those under 60 years of age: $5.50; take-out meals are $3.75 for citizens 60 and over and

$5.50 for those under 60 with drink and dessert included.
