The Larry Joe Taylor Texas Music Festival is gearing up for its 30th annual event at Melody Mountain Ranch.

From April 23-28, more than 50 Texas country artists including Ray Wylie Hubbard, Josh Abbott, Randy Rogers, William Clark Green, Casey Donahew, Cody Johnson, Aaron Watson and, of course, Larry Joe Taylor, will perform on three stages.

“Thirty years is a long time to do anything,” Larry Joe Taylor said. “What a fun ride to start in a pasture in Mingus 30 years ago with about 100 people and wind up 30 years later with 50,000 at the premier Texas music festival in my hometown of Stephenville.”

To accommodate the large number of music-lovers, there will be over 30 food vendors, an ATM, showers and 500 portable restrooms.

“We will even have a grocery store,” said Martha Taylor, media spokesperson.

Advance tickets are available on the LJT website from $103.98 for a six-day pass to $26.98 for a one-day ticket. Tickets are also available at the gate, Signs & Designs and Barefoot Campus Outfitter.

A chili cook-off benefiting Morgan Mill First Responders will take place on Saturday. To sign up visit larryjoetaylor.com.

There are plenty of campsites still available.
