The dance at the Somervell County Citizens Center for May will be this Saturday at 7 p.m. Come dance to the tunes sung by Grant Groblebe or just come to listen if you have misplaced your dancing shoes.

The cover charge is $5, and snacks and drinks are provided. No alcohol or smoking, please.

Monday, May 7, there will be bluegrass music starting at 6 p.m. Join us for the foot-tapping music provided by local bluegrass musicians.

We will be closed to observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 28.

Our Center is located at 209 SW Barnard, 254-897-2139. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon. Meals eaten at the Center for those 60 and over: donations are appreciated; those under 60 years of age: $5.50; take-out meals are $3.75 for citizens 60 and over and $5.50 for those under 60 with drink and dessert included.

Tuesday, May 8 — Hamburger; home fries; baked beans; cookies.

Wednesday, May 9 — Chicken strips; mashed potatoes; green beans; roll; oatmeal cake.

Thursday, May 10 — Meatloaf; mashed potatoes Mexi-corn; roll; peaches.

Friday, May 11 — Fried fish; pinto beans; cole slaw; hushpuppies; cookies.
