A total of $84,000 was raised this year for Glen Rose High School’s annual Spaghetti Supper and Auction held on April 30 as the lone Project Graduation fundraiser to allow graduating seniors to attend an all-night party free of alcohol and drugs.

The money will be used to fund the party as well as purchase prizes and scholarships for those in attendance.

The New Focus of Somervell County and the Class of 2018 would like to thank all those who donated and purchased items as well as the parents and students who worked so hard to make the event such a huge success.

A special thanks goes to members of the New Focus Board, Randall Bozarth, Dorothy Johnston, Kelly Shackelford and Brian Pounds. Also to Lloyd Wirt, Scott May, Kayla O’Quinn, Tommy Corcoran and Carrie Lytle for their continued help with the auction.

Committee Leaders Blaine Stroud, Jeff Hansen, Julie Smith, Patricia Kirby and Tracy Whitefield did an outstanding job organizing.

New Focus would also like to thank Larry Higgins of Hammond’s, Chicken Express, Dairy Queen and Brookshire’s for their donations to the Spaghetti Supper.
