On Monday, October 15, our chess players gather from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bingo is at 10:30 that morning, and then come to the Center for gospel music beginning at 6 that evening. The drivers will take citizens 60 and over to Walmart at 1 p.m. Please call to reserve your ride.
On Tuesday, from 9 am to noon, the woodcarvers meet to hone their skills, and at 10:30 am Terri Lucas leads the group in exercising. At 1 that afternoon, the drivers will take citizens 60 and over grocery shopping at Brookshires. Please call to reserve your ride.
Come for the 42 tournament, beginning at 9 Wednesday morning. Line dancing lessons begin at 10:30 am, and you can have your blood pressure read by Debbie at 11:30 that morning. At 11:45 a.m. Kevin Kirkpatrick with Cherokee Rose Therapy will be giving a short talk on medical issues.
Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the chess players meet again, and the fitness group gets together for exercise at 10:30 that morning. The drivers take citizens 60 and over to Dollar General. Please call to reserve your ride.
Bingo starts at 10:30 Friday morning, and citizens 60 and over can go grocery shopping at 1 p.m. Again, please be sure to call in to reserve your ride.

If you haven’t had your flu shot, come to the Center on Wednesday, October 17. Glen Rose Nursing Home staff will be giving flu shots from 11:30 am to 1 pm that day.
Don’t forget to call the Center to reserve your meal Monday through Friday. Please call before 9:30 a.m. so that we can get a count for Judy, our cook, for the meal that day. If you want to reserve for the whole week, you are welcome to call on Monday to let us know.
Our Center is located at 209 SW Barnard, 254-897-2139. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon. Meals eaten at the Center for those 60 and over: donations are very much appreciated; those under 60 years of age: $5.50; take-out meals are $3.75 for citizens 60 and over and $5.50 for those under 60 with drink and dessert included.

Friday, October 12 – Meatballs with gravy, carrots, green peas, roll applesauce cake.
Monday – Salisbury steak, cauliflower, green peas, roll, coconut pudding.
Tuesday – Hamburger with all the trimmings, pea salad, potato chips, cookies.
Wednesday – Chicken pot pie, mixed vegetables, garden salad, slice of wheat bread, peaches.
Thursday – Pizza, garden salad, banana pudding.
Friday – Pork chop, spinach, hominy, cornbread, pear halves with cottage cheese.
