The Glen Rose Reporter is pleased to introduce its new sports writer, Beau Sauls, to the community.

Beau has a sports background and experience covering sports and other news for print, broadcast and online media.

He grew up in New Berlin near Seguin and played a variety of sports at Marion High School.

Beau also played basketball at Texas Lutheran University. He is a graduate of Tarleton State University with a degree in communications.

He has written for the sports section in the Lone Star Telegram; was student station manager of KURT 100.7; sports director of KTRL 90.5; anchor, news director, producer and reporter for the Texan TV News; and designer for the Longhorn Drover magazine published by the International Texas Longhorn Association based in Glen Rose.

"I'm excited to be a part of Glen Rose, love the area and am excited to meet the people," Beau said. "Go Tigers!"

The Reporter also is excited to welcome him to our staff as a part of our Glen Rose family.

Beau plans to expand the Reporter's sports coverage with more attention to teams beyond varsity-level and at all Glen Rose ISD campuses, as well as ramping up coverage of a variety of sports, such as golf, tennis and cycling.
