Bobby Lee Jarrett Jr., the man who authorities said crashed his truck into security barriers at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant last month, has been arrested.

Jarrett turned himself in to the Somervell County Sheriff's Office last Thursday. He was charged with deadly conduct, criminal trespass of critical infrastructure, making a false report to law enforcement authorities and failing his duty to report striking a highway fixture.

Bond was set at $1,500 for each charge. After he posted bond, Jarrett was set free on the same day he was arrested.

Authorities said Jarrett crashed his vehicle into a guardrail near the guard station and into security barriers early Saturday morning on Aug. 27. He then fled on foot and was apprehended near the Paluxy River bridge on U.S. Highway 67.

Sheriff Greg Doyle said alcohol was a "contributing factor" to the incident.
