The Somervell County Master Gardeners Association will host a Native and Adaptive Plants Lecture and Plant Sale on Monday, May 12, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Somervell Citizens' Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Native plant expert Evaline Woodrey will inform attendees how to use native and adapted plants in their landscapes. She has been a plant enthusiast for many years as well as a member of the Native Plant Society of Texas and the Native Prairie Association of Texas.

Woodrey has created native garden spaces for the public and also her own private wildlife habitat using native plants and periscope techniques. The Master Gardeners will also be selling native and adaptive plants at this meeting.
