Do you have some pesky weeds in your farm pond you want to get rid of? Or maybe you have questions about proper pond stocking rate and how to grow those five-pound or bigger bass for the kids to catch?
Then you will not want to miss the Pond Management Seminar on Monday, May 5. The Pond Management Seminar, hosted by Texas AgriLife Extension offices in Somervell and Hood counties, will begin at 2 p.m. at the Hood County Reunion Fairgrounds.
The program speaker will be Dr. Michael Masser, Texas AgriLife Extension fisheries specialist. The program will cover aquatic vegetation control, proper stocking rate and feeding recommendations for the management of recreational ponds. Pond owners who would like to have their aquatic weeds identified can bring samples to the program.
