Special to the Reporter

First Baptist Church, Glen Rose presents the eighth annual Children’s Choir Camp. Children’s Choir Camp 2009, “Roamin’ Through Romans”, is an exciting adventure through the book of Romans led by the Apostle Paul.

Join the children of Mrs. McFaddle’s Sunday School Class as they discover the truths of scripture found along the Roman Road.

This year’s Choir Camp will have a strong emphasis on scripture and scripture memory.

Children’s Choir Camp runs June 15 through 20 with the performance on Sunday evening, June 21 at 6 p.m.  Camp begins each morning at 8:30 a.m. Choir Camp concludes each afternoon at 3:30.

Children should bring their own lunch each day to camp. Children must have completed the first grade to participate in Children’s Choir Camp. Choir Camp is for children in the first through sixth grades.

The music is scripture based and very exciting to sing. All children will have the opportunity to try out for a speaking part or solo on Monday. Each child receiving a part must be present all week for rehearsals and for the Sunday night performance.

Cost of this year’s camp is $50 for the first child and $20 for additional children in the same family. The cost covers music book, a listening CD, camp T-shirt and all activities of the week including swimming, skating, a movie, and a magician. Scholarships are available on an as needed basis.
