Alpha Delta Beta, Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, began the new year with an exciting safari-themed event at the home of Julie Locke. Hostesses were Locke, Melodie Isham and Debbie Davis.

Incoming president Sharon Schultz opened the meeting, which was full of official business along with a lot of fun. Sorority members received their new sorority books designed by Davis with this year’s Passport to Adventure theme. Officers presented their reports along with each committee chair’s report.

Peggy Lytle, scrapbook chairman, presented last year’s president Cynthia Moates with a sorority scrapbook in appreciation of her hard work. Everyone attending had a great time looking at the photos and reminiscing about the year.

Bertha Mieth won the “Best Dressed” for the safari-themed event. Runner up winners were Lori Magner, Erma Sanderson and Schultz. In the finale, secret sisters were revealed and new names were drawn for this year’s secret sister. Door prizes were won by everyone.
