The Alpha Delta Beta (ADB) Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority met recently for their final meeting of this sorority year at the home of Cynthia Joyner Marshall. Hostesses were Mrs. Marshall and Peggy Lytle. The sorority enjoyed a terrific Mexican meal and theme dinner.

The official meeting was called to order by President Cynthia Moates. Committee reports were given and Betty Gosdin announced the four ADB Scholarship winners were Ashton Edwards, Taylor Sexton, Ashlyn Gomez and Megan Turner.

The sorority voted Tammy Dooley, Shirley Reinke and Sharon Schultz as “Hostesses of the Year” for 2008-09 for their April “Pretty in Pink Party.”

Vice-president Sharon Schultz led the ceremonies for members who were eligible for degree promotions. Two members received the Preceptor Degree: Cynthia Joyner Marshall and Bertha Mieth. Order of the Rose Degrees were awarded to Cheryl Nabors, Sharon Patton and Carole Stricklin. Laureate Degrees were awarded to Crickett Bacon, Debbie Davis, Deanna Hardie, Evalene Howell, Peggy Huffman, Kathy Jackson, Cynthia Joyner Marshall, Cheryl Nabors, Sharon Patton, Erma Sanderson, Sharon Schultz, Donna Vineyard and Patricia West.

President Cynthia Moates conducted the installation of new officers and installed the Alpha Delta Beta Officers 2009-10 elect: President Sharon Schultz, Vice-president Cynthia Joyner Marshall, Treasurer Sharon Patton, Recording Secretary Debbie Davis, Corresponding Secretary Melodie Isham, Extension Officer Julie Locke, scrapbook and photographer Peggy Lytle. The sorority takes a summer break and resumes in September.
