It’s that time again.

Bicycles will take up more space on the roads in Somervell County than cars Saturday morning as cyclists kick it into gear for the Seventh Annual Quicksilver Paluxy Pedal.

The ride will begin at Glen Rose High School at 8:30 a.m. with distances of 29, 45, 60 and 80 miles. This year, all proceeds from the ride will benefit LDL Educational Resources Foundation.

“It is a fantastic community effort,” Ymke Condy, Paluxy Pedal co-founder, said.

Cyclists are expected to come from all over Texas.

“It’s a very challenging course,” Condy said. “Serious riders know you have to have that on your resume, so to speak.”
