Dakotah Williams was elected to serve on the 2009-2010 State FFA Officer team at the Area VIII FFA Convention held at West High School May 22.† He will represent the over 7,000 FFA members from the Area VIII FFA Association and the over 65,000 FFA members in the State of Texas.

He will be one of 10 State Officers representing Texas this year.† He will run for the State Presidentís position during the State FFA Convention in Dallas at the Convention Center on July 7-10.

He has gone through an intense interview process as well as testing his FFA knowledge, parliamentary procedure, current events, farm facts, and many other agricultural related topics. The interview and tests account for 50 percent of the election process with the remaining 50 percent coming from the popular vote on July 9 at the State FFA Convention.

Williams has served as the Glen Rose Chapter President, Lake Whitney District Vice-President, and the Area VIII Vice-President and makes the seventh State FFA Officer from the Glen Rose FFA Chapter.
