Texas Oncology has opened an outreach clinic in Glen Rose that will provide a community-based setting for patients in Somervell County.

At Texas Oncology—Glen Rose, physicians help local patients fight cancer in a supportive environment right in their own community. Patients also benefit from the statewide Texas Oncology network, which provides patients access to leading-edge medical services, as well as financial and emotional support services for a wide range of cancers.

“We are thrilled to offer patients more cancer care options that are close to home,” said David D’Spain, D.O., a medical oncologist at Texas Oncology—Glen Rose. “Patients from Glen Rose and the surrounding communities can expect high-quality cancer care, all in a community atmosphere.”

The new facility began seeing patients in April 2011 and is open every other Monday.

“Our doctors and nurses know the importance of traveling to locations nearer to where many of our patients live, rather than having them travel to reach us,” said Carolyn Hutt, practice administrator with Texas Oncology—Glen Rose.

“That’s just one of the ways Texas Oncology provides local residents the services they need to fight cancer closer to home where it’s more convenient,” Hutt added.

Texas Oncology has cancer treatment facilities throughout communities in Texas and southern Oklahoma.

The Glen Rose office is located at 408 Glenwood and is open to both new and current patients. For more information, call 817-579-3700.
