Special to the Reporter

The Barnardís Mill Art League is pleased to announce that two featured artists work will be on displayed each month. This month, Mary Domecís art will be at City Hall and Carol Leeís will be at Town and Country Bank.

Mary Domec has painted in oils, watercolor and acrylic for the past 35 years, but has recently started a new journey is pastels. Domec thinks that this medium might become her favorite. As a young person, Domec started drawing using colored pencils and crayons. She entered several school competitions and received many first place ribbons. A friend invited Domec to attend a water color workshop after she married and it renewed her interest in painting. She decided to attend the Angeline College in Lufkin for art classes. Domec is a member of several art leagues including Barnardsí Mill.

The art league will be hosting a water color workshop on June 12 and 13 with Betty Graham. There is still space in the workshop. Contact Joyce Selby at 254-897-3081 for more information.
