Local art students compete at state - Four Glen Rose High School art students recently competed at the State Visual Art Scholastic Event in Houston. The students were Barbara Jasnocha, T.W. Dunn, Hillary Dias and Carrie Evans. All four students received medals for their artwork. Jasnocha had a photograph at the state contest, Dunn submitted a sculpture, Dias had a pencil drawing and Evans had a photograph. Less than half of the 1,700 artworks at the state contest receive medals so the GRHS students did extremely well, said art instructor Randy Haney.
