The Somervell County 4-H Food Challenge and Show was held Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Glen Rose Intermediate School cafeteria.

In the Food Show, individual winners were as follows:

1st Place, Senior Division, Main Dish Ashileen Douglas

2nd Place, Jr/Int Division, Main Dish Madison McKinney

1st Place, Senior Division, Fruits and Vegetables Shelby Lacey

First place winners advance to the District 8 4-H Food Show in Belton on Dec. 9.

In the Food Challenge, a total of eight teams competed. Team winners were as follows:

1st Place, Senior Division The Crock Pots: Kelsy Massey, Shelby Rotan, Alex Dahl, Sloan Williams, Baylie Plaster; Stephanie Williams, coach.

1st Place, Jr/Intermediate Division The Sprinkles: Brynn Reynolds, Tressa D'Angelo, Meredith Odom, Madison Morrow, Bryse Brownen; Virginia Reynolds, coach.

2nd Place, Jr/Intermediate Division The 5 Star Chefs: Bari Douglas, Grace Morris, Kori Parnell, Mallory Daniels, Brittany Watson; Mina Douglas, coach.

3rd Place, Jr/Intermediate Division The Red Hots: Kendall Douglas, Emma Turner, Chyanne Mausser, Anna Quinlan, Sydney Gantt; Mina Douglas, coach.

First and second place winners advance to the District 8 4-H Food Challenge in Belton on Dec. 9.
