The J.M. McCroskey Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Somervell County Citizens Association will award a $1,000 college academic grant to a deserving 2010 graduating senior of Glen Rose High School who intends to enter college in the fall.

J.M. McCroskey was the superintendent of the Glen Rose ISD from 1956 to 1974. The organization will also award a $500 art scholarship to a senior student who expects to study art at the collegiate level.

Recipients will be selected on the basis of their academic performance and general citizenship. All interested students are encouraged to apply by submitting a summary of academic performance and general citizenship to the Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 828, Glen Rose, Texas 76043 before May 1.
