Due to Friday night football, The Promise has designated Friday and Saturday both as Somervell County Nights and will introduce city and county officials on Saturday. Somervell County residents can get in free either night!

The public is invited to visit The Trinity Center, located at 1444 Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, and view the remarkable model of the Trinity River Corridor Project at 10 a.m. Sept. 10. Squaw Valley Golf Course will re-open the Links Course on Sept. 18 to residents and guests until noon and then for the general public for the rest of the day and from then on.

There will be a Hamburger Supper from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the High School Cafeteria. Tickets are $5 per person and include hamburger, chips, tea, and dessert. Takeout is available. Proceeds will benefit the Glen Rose High School Junior Class.
