Six individuals were indicted by a Somervell County grand jury on Wednesday, Oct. 10, including a man accused of molesting a child almost a decade ago.

Ryan Edward Desrosiers is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony, in an incident that reportedly occurred in January 2003.

Chief Deputy Darrell McCravey with the Somervell County Sheriff's Office said Desrosiers, a former area resident, was recently arrested in California on a similar charge and is awaiting extradition back to Texas to face the local charge.

McCravey said following his arrest in California, an outcry was made by the local victim, and Desrosiers admitted to the 2003 incident.

Meanwhile, Ratilal Solanki was indicted for delivery of 4-400 grams of a controlled substance, also a first-degree felony.

Solanki was arrested on Sept. 19 after lab results confirmed a substance he was selling in a Glen Rose convenience store was synthetic marijuana, which was banned by state law makers during the last legislative session.

The local convenience store was one of five where the product was seized during an undercover investigation over the summer. The other four retailers were located in Johnson County.

Other indictments included:

• Joshua Dent Biles, arson on a habitation, for an offense that allegedly occurred on Sept. 9.

• Casey Alan Burch II, assault/family violence, enhanced by prior conviction, June 24.

• Adan Lerma Chavez, driving while intoxicated, third or more, Feb. 26.

• Javier Ortiz, burglary of a building, enhanced, Aug. 20.
