CLEBURNE - Victor Darrell Moore, 72, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, in Cleburne.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose. Burial will follow in Georges Creek Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Moore was born April 30, 1939, in Bluff Dale, to Cecil H. Moore and Connie Jo Jones Moore. He married Ceta Russell on May 15, 2001, in Carrizozo, N.M. He attended Bluff Dale and Stephenville schools and graduated from Stephenville High School in 1957.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. Victor also served as fire chief for General Dynamics (now Lockheed-Martin). Victor was a member of the American Legion Post #491.
He was an accomplished musician and was a member of the Brazos Ramblers. He was also talented in woodworking, which led him to make furniture and musical instruments, especially mandolins.
Victor was a beloved husband, father and friend. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Michael Don Moore.
Survivors are his wife, Ceta Moore; son, Sam Moore, and wife, Ann; daughter, Christy Munoz; step-daughters Jennifer Hunter and Kreshna Sheplear; grandchildren Clint and Chance Moore, Zachary West, Jason and Tye Munoz, Derek and Amber Jackson, Kailey and Colton McMurry; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Bishop; brothers Dale Moore and wife, Donna, and Jackie Moore and wife, Yvonne.
Memorials may be made to the Bono Volunteer Fire Department.
