TOLAR — Glenn E. Mitchell, 73, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial followed in Post Oak Cemetery in Somervell County.
Mr. Mitchell was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Cleburne, to John E. and Carrie Newman Mitchell. A longtime Glen Rose resident, Mr. Mitchell had formerly lived in Cleburne and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers local #68. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daryl; and brother, John.
Survivors include son, Terry Mitchell and wife, Pam, of Granbury; daughter, Rhonda Rodriguez and husband, Mike, of Sherman; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Merl W. Mitchell and wife, Mary K., of Glen Rose, James Mitchell and wife, Cheryl, of Cleburne; sisters, Elsie Conway of Cleburne, Peggy Harkins of Hill City, Tresina Downs and husband, Bill, of Fort Worth, Valdeana Myer and husband, Jim, of Austin; and special friend, Pat Briscoe of Cleburne.
