FORT WORTH — Alma Haynes Woodard, 86, passed away Monday, May 31.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Handley United Methodist Churc, followed by a graveside service at 4 p.m. at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth.
Alma Haynes Woodard was born in Fort Worth on Sept. 8, 1923, to Willie and Honor Haynes. She married John Wesley Woodard on Jan. 28, 1943. They were married for 64 years.
She served as postmistress in Rainbow and was a longtime manager at H&R Block in East Fort Worth. Her life centered around her family who loved her very much.
Survivors include her children Ann and husband, Don Churchwell, Nancy and husband, Russ Bragg, and John and wife, Leslie Woodard; grandchildren Cameron, Courtney, Holly, Sean and Sarah; and great-grandchildren, Sam, Caitlin and Carson.
