WALNUT SPRINGS — Sarah L. Collins Sutherland, 67, of Walnut Springs, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, at her residence in Walnut Springs.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, in the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Jason Sharp, officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs.
Sarah was born Feb. 17, 1943, in Walnut Springs where she was raised and educated. She was a daughter of the late William Herbert Collins and May Beth Conger Collins. On March 28, 1964, she was united in marrige to Jarrell R. Sutherland in Walnut Springs.
Sarah was an X-ray technician, having taken her training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. She worked for a hospital in Stephenville for years before retiring in 2009.
She was a very active and faithful member of the Walnut Springs Bapist Church. She had resided in Walnut Springs since 1990.
Her survivors are her husband, Jarrell, of Walnut Springs; daughter, Nikki Reagan, of Granbury; son, Aaron B. Sutherland, of Walnut Springs; grandchildren
Courtney Kennedy of Granbury, Aaron Sutherland, Jr., of Blum, Matthew Sutherland of Blum and Michael Sutherland of Blum; sister, Patricia Wurbs, and her husband, Frank, of Clifton; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Serving as her pallbearers were David Kennedy, Norman Spaulding, Bryan Higginbotham, Steve Collins, Berady Dempsey and Mark Whitman.
