GLEN ROSE – Patsy Ann Horton, 72, a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, surrounded by love.

Private graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Patsy was born Nov. 1, 1935, the only daughter of Mac and Anna Mae McCarty in Bosque County. She was a graduate of Glen Rose High School, Tarleton State University, and later received her Master’s Degree in Finance from LSU.

Pasty enjoyed teaching business at Granbury High School before she entered the banking business. Patsy had a loving and generous spirit, loved people and took delight in her family. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her brother Denny, her parents, and her beloved husband, Perry Horton, of Mineral Wells in 2002.

Survivors include three children, Vickie and husband Gary Marks of Glen Rose, Tommy Holmes and wife Donna of Panhandle, and Charles Holmes and wife Cindy of Godley; six grandchildren, Dixie and husband Eddie Sikes of Bellaire, Lucie, and husband Ben Warfield of Frisco, Jennifer, and husband Sam Jones of Conroe, and Brian Marks and wife Jennifer of Richland Hills, Justin Holmes stationed with the US Army in Germany, and Matthew Holmes of Austin; six great-grandchildren, Porter and Lainey Sikes, Gus, Jack and Oliver Jones, and Cale Calahan.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Roger E. Marks Health Care Foundation. P.O. Box 2099, Glen Rose, TX 76043. The quality of care and compassion given by the entire staff of Glen Rose Medical Center and Nursing Home will not be forgotten.
