GLEN ROSE - Ruth Alice (Slusher) Lindsey, 80, a resident of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved her deeply, on June 25.

A family and friend visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, also at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Nancy Smith Cemetery.

Ruth was born March 5, 1931, in Coffeyville, Kan., to Bill Slusher and Rose Cochran Slusher.

She was married to Robert (Bob) Lindsey on Dec. 5, 1953, in Kellogg, Idaho.

Ruth was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was well-respected and loved by everyone who had the blessing to know her. She never met a stranger and her kindness and compassion to others was genuine and valued. Her husband, children, grandchildren and close friends were blessed by her unconditional love for them.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bob Lindsey, of Georgetown; two sons, Craig Lindsey and Sharon, Tim Lindsey and wife, LeeAnn; a daughter, Beth Myers and husband, Jimmy; grandsons Jason Lindsey and Josh Myers and wife, Katie; granddaughters Sarah and Lindsey Myers, Nicole, Leslie, Christina, and Kate Lindsey and Alyssa Lindsey Earhart and husband, Michael; and one great-granddaughter, Samantha Grace Earhart.

She also is survived by sisters Hazel Hickman of Worley, Idaho, and Ethel Sperry of Clarkston, Wash.; a brother, Jim Slusher, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
