WALNUT SPRINGS — Troy Burns, 80, passed away Friday, June 25, in Glen Rose.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 2, at United Pentecostal Church in Walnut Springs.
Burns lived in Walnut Springs for four years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a retired automobile mechanic.
Burns married Fannie Mary Thompson in 195. She preceded him in death in May 1974. He married Edith Skiles, who preceded him in 2000.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Burns, of Walnut Springs; sons James Troy and Tricia Ann Burns of Rio Vista, Gary Lively and Joyce of Cleburne and Ricky Lively and Andrea of Walnut Springs; daughters Diann Sparks and Paul of Alvarado, Sandra Mansfield of Crowley, Deborah Anderson and Gary of Walnut Springs, Rachel Byrd of Meridian, Beverly Atkison and Rick of Round Mountain; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvis Burns and Pam of Eulogy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
