Jack Copeland, 47, died September 6, 2009 at his home close to Glen Rose.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, at 10 a.m. at Freedom Church, Glen Rose.

He wished to be cremated.

He was born April 14, 1962 in Iredell to George and Juanita Copeland who preceded him in death. He graduated from Iredell High School and served in the Marines. He worked as a computer technician before being employed at Comanche Peak. At the time of his death, he worked in security at Comanche Peak Power Plant. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his son Jonathan Copeland and Jonathanís mother, Diane Copeland; brothers George Copeland and wife Carol of Early and John Copeland and wife Glenda of Vancouver, Wa.; one niece and three nephews.
