FORT WORTH — J. Lee Brown, 79, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, in Nancy Smith Cemetery.
J. Lee was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Sand Springs, Okla. He was a graduate of Sand Springs High School and attended Oklahoma University. He married Uinta Leona Holladay in 1955. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a mail distributor for the U.S. Postal Service for 44 years. He was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1997; and four brothers and sisters.
Survivors include children, Cindy Brown Phillippi and husband, Armand of Fort Worth, Tina Bailey and husband, Dan of Duncan, Okla., and Jerry Brown and wife, Janet of Wichita, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
