MOSCOW — Betty Joe McDuffie, 81, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, in Lufkin.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 24, 2008, in the First United Methodist Church in Corrigan with Bro. W.C. Hall officiating. Burial was in the Watts-Jones Cemetery in Moscow.
Mrs. McDuffie was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Wilson in Lynn County. She was clerk and owner of her own business for 27 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corrigan.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, John Floyd Hendry Jr.; second husband, Harold D. McDuffie; parents, Hal and Ada (Million) Shackleford; and sister Ruth Lee.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Hendry and wife Marie, of Cushing and Randy Hendry and wife Linda, of Corrigan; daughter, Carolyn Tubbs and husband, Troy, of Moscow; sister, Billie Mildren of Abliene, Wynama Way of Mineral Wells and Patsy Thompson of Glen Rose; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
