The fall team tennis season ended for Glen Rose High School last week when the Tigers lost to Lake Worth in their Class 4A bi-district playoff matchup, played in Burleson.

Glen Rose lost by an overall team score of 11-7 in the match, played Oct. 17 at Centennial High School.

“Overall, the team competed well,” GRHS tennis coach Gregger Yeager said. “We matched up with Lake Worth very evenly in singles, winning 5 out of 11 matches. Ultimately it was the doubles play where we only won 2 out of 7 that led to our loss.

We had a tough season, but the players are excited about  preparing for the upcoming spring season.”

Harrison Hawkins, Briley Green and Shelby Simpson of Glen Rose each won their singles and doubles matches against Lake Worth.

Boys doubles — Harrison Hawkins and Briley Green won 6-2, 6-0
