Jocelyn Mims of Glen Rose High School earned second place in the girls division of the Elk Run cross country meet hosted by Burleson High School.

Mims posted a time of 12:50.13, while Presley Wall of Stephenville won the race in 12:48.46.

The Lady Tigers finished seventh in the girls team standings, while Argyle edged out Stephenville by two points to win the team title.

For the GRHS boys, Colby Pounds led the way by placing 20th individually. The Tigers were eighth as a team.

Also for the Lady Tigers, Salma De Reza De Loera was 43rd (15:10.11), Laura Ogletree 51st (15:25.14), Zaidey Mills 65th (15:53.02), and Delaila Gomez 75th (16:11.39).

Also for the GRHS boys, Orrin Miller was 38th (19:10.41), Carson Osborne 49th (19:46.42), Dristan Cathey 65th (20:30.52), and Gage Cathey 93rd (21:43.58).

After their meet at Keene this week, the Tigers and Lady Tigers will compete on Sept. 14 at Hico’s Bluebonnet Golf Course.
