Seventh graders led the way for Glen Rose when its junior high boys cross country team competed in the District 8-3A meet at Dinosaur Valley State Park last week.

Nate Burgess was second seventh-grade finisher and placed 11th overall in 14 minutes, 8 seconds to lead the Tigers.

Adam Talavera wasn’t far behind, finishing 20th in 14:40, good enough to be the fifth seventh-grade finisher. He was followed by classmate in Diego Ruiz in 14:51. Ruiz was 23rd overall and eighth among seventh graders. Another seventh-grade runner, Zane Gould, was the 10th finisher in his class and took 31ast overall in 15:50.

Other Glen Rose runners included eighth grader Michael Holland (36th in 16:17), eighth-grader Tucker Garza (42nd in 18:03) and seventh graders Jacob Harte (49th in 20:18, Zach Simpson (50th in 20:24) and Gabriel Lewis (51st in 22:08).
