Glen Rose completed its junior high football season by splitting four contests with Alvarado last week.

The eighth A Tigers won 22-14 thanks to points being scored by five different players.

R.J. Darch tackled the Alvarado quarterback in the end zone for a safety, Hayden Holder tossed touchdowns covering 73 and 38 yards to Sam Strother and Chance Nabours and rushed for a 2-yard score and Preston Shuffield added a 2-point conversion run.

Holder, Strother, Nabours, Shuffield, Jayton Dillard, Hayden Swearingin, Christian Barrios, Dawson Matheny and Manuel Barraza were listed by coaches as offensive standouts, while Darch, Cody Halcom, Daniel Zuniga, Colten Lane, Jacob Locke, Peyton Lytle, Brett Taylor, Trey Yocham, Christian Ibarra, Jayden Reynolds, Jonathan Rios and Adrian Ericson were named defensive standouts.

The seventh A Tigers were blanked 40-0.

Coaches listed Bailey Holder, Wyatt Goebel, Cashion Klipfel, Layne McAnear, Gage Costello, Drayton Williams, Stone Costello, Miguel Barraza, Joey Sandlin, A.J. Ibarra and Raul Serrano as offensive standouts and Jacob Jones, Alec Fraley, Stanton Mann, Koda Duren, Rhett Rabenaldt, Riley Martin, Dylan Hammond, Chasen Monk, Brandon Ochoa, Jadon Morris, Reece Nickell, Dakotah Stroud and Braxton Barrios as defensive standouts.

The eighth B Tigers were defeated 8-0.

Offensive standouts included Chas Campbell, Bradlee Ingram, Tyler Lester, Dalton Gould, Shane Moore, Evan Richesin, Alex Navarrete, Jace Bridges, Josh Martin, J.B. Martin and Derek Kramer, while defensive standouts included Azahel Herrera, Angel Amezcua, Antonio Ponce, Taylor Beckwith, Kyle Bankhead, James Gomez, Austin Carpenter, Roberto Villalpando, James Gillentine, Garrett Sharp, Dalton Patty Drannon Brewer and Ryne KMiller.

The seventh B Tigers were victorious 6-0 because of a shutout effort from defensive standouts Brad Scantling, Emery Beem, Chance Page, Peyton Chappell, Jonathan Harris, Chris Harrison, Ricky Womack, Ruben Salas, John Milton, Matt Branham, Bryan Merrill and Xavier Wells.

Offensive standouts in the victory included Calen Ballesteros, who scored the only points on a 4-yard TD run, Joe Adams, Ty Campbell, Cash Timmerman, Tucker Garza, Nicolas Fowler, Nolan Fowler, Turner Hill, Hunter Burney, Daniel Sandoval, Jared Brandt, Jonathan Fernandez, Kason Brewer and Judd Pendleton.
