After its second straight record-setting season ending in the state semifinals, Walnut Springs is well represented on the Six-Man Coaches Association Division II All-State football roster.

Kody Stack could have been honored at any of a number of positions after leading the Hornets in scoring on offense and special teams and in tackles on defense. The coaches elected to honor him for his achievements as wide receiver, where he is a first-team selection.

Joining Stack as members of the All-State lineup are teammates Eddie Whitt at quarterback, Jacob White at tight end and Johnathan Stack as a utitlity player. All three were given second-team offense nods, while Ryan Englehardt is listed as a second-team All-State defensive lineman.

The Hornets (12-1) claimed their second straight district and regional titles in 2009.
