A pair of former Tigers are on their way to the next level of athletic competition.
Colt plaster and Reagan Rotan have accepted offers to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacodoches and Lubbock Christian University.
Plaster has accepted a walk-on position to compete for a shot at the starting quarterback position in the future at SFA.
SFA is in the Division I-FCS Southland Conference.
"(Former Glen Rose head coach) Erik Slaughter called and asked if I would be interested in playing at SFA," said Plaster. "They run the same kind of offense that we ran last year - a lot of receivers. So I think I'll have an edge over the other freshmen."
Plaster is a walk-on and will receive no financial aid in his first season but will report to two-a-days in early August.
Rotan has been given a scholarship to play baseball at Lubbock Christian in NAIA Division I.
Rotan will begin play on LCU's junior varsity squad with a chance to make the varsity roster. He has agreed to accept $1,000 per year in athletic scholarship money.
"Coach (Kenny) Toney called on my behalf and now I'm excited about the opportunity," said Rotan. "I just need to keep working hard."
Plaster and Rotan graduated from Glen Rose High School last month.
