The Glen Rose Junior High cheerleading squad had a successful week at the National Cheerleaders Association Camp held at Tarleton State University. The girls brought home five blue ribbons and one red, an award for Best Jumps as a squad, and the trophy for "Champion Chant," which is a competition based on motions, jumps, tumbling, and spirit. 

The mascot, Tressa D'Angelo, was named to the All-American Mascot Squad and received the award of "Best Prop Use," which showed her ability to be creative and show school spirit. 

Haylie Allen, Bailey Brown, Carli Jackowski, Sabrina Watson, Madeline Campos, Kalli Crabtree, Lexi Crabtree, Madison Morrow and Meredith Odom were nominated for All-American Cheerleader honors.  Following the competition, Brown, Campos, Kalli Crabtree, Lexi Crabtree and Odom were each named All-Americans.

The Junior High Squad is made up of seventh graders Allen, Claire Boswell, Brown, Brittan Grace, Carli Jackowski and Sabrina Watson, and eighth graders Campos, Kalli Crabtree, Lexi Crabtree, Jennifer Herrera, Madison Morrow, Odom and mascot D'Angelo.
