Walnut Springs wrapped up its first perfect regular season in school history last Friday with a 52-6 drubbing of Morgan that lasted just two quarters.
The Hornets, who as District 15 champs have earned a first-round bye in the Six-Man Division II playoffs, rolled up 248 yards of offense and seven touchdowns on just 12 offensive plays. They rushed for 183 yards and five touchdowns on eight carries while Eddie Whitt completed two of four pass attempts for 65 yards and a pair of scores.
Whitt added a 55-yard TD sprint to his big night. His touchdown passes were a 34 yarder to Matthew Prescher and a 31 yarder to Jacob White.
Kody Stack scored on both his rushing attempts, totaling 51 yards on the ground. He also led the team in tackles with six.
Johnathan Stack and Rey Chavez scored the other Hornet touchdowns while Andrew Herring connected on five of seven point after kicks.
