The Tigers won a close game, 38-37, at Burleson Centennial Tuesday afternoon.

After trailing 10-9 in the first, Glen Rose went into halftime with some momentum and a 21-18 lead.

"Again, we played great on the defensive end," Glen Rose head coach Wayne Roberts said.

Cody Burtscher led the team with 11 points and Ben Coppock skied for 13 rebounds.

"Our offense was better, we worked the ball around, but the shots just didn't fall," Roberts said. "We realized for us to win we would have to play well on the defensive end."

Glen Rose travels to the Godley tournament Dec. 27-28.

"We are a work in progress and we are working hard to get better on the offensive end," Roberts said.
